October 2006 (Chicago, IL) -- The Accu-SPINA device is one of over 7,000 medical instruments in this historic museum overlooking Lake Michigan in Chicago, IL. The museum was opened in 1954 and is a division of the International College of Surgeons. The building is listed in the National Register and the Illinois Register of Historic Places, and is a City of Chicago landmark. It is the only Gold Coast mansion open to the public. Original interior finishes of marble and cut stone, decorative plaster work, metal fixtures and hardware, eight fireplaces, and a gilded metal grand staircase are among the features which have been preserved.
