Quest Exercise Stress System

With the Quest Exercise Stress System, Frisco Urgent Care can help the doctor determine a number of things regarding your cardiac health. The Quest Exercise Stress System is a touch screen system with no knobs or toggles to get in the way of the technician or nurse and the patient. Everything needed is on the screen in an easy to read format.

There are 11 preprogrammed treadmill and bicycle protocols: Bruce, Modified Bruce, Balke, Ellestad, Kattus, Naughton, Ramp, Persantine, manual protocol, Astrand and Mod Astrand, plus there is the ability to program up to 20 of custom designed protocols to help determine individual stress related information about you. A flexible ramping protocol individualizes your workload while optimizing test duration. The quick disconnect feature of the test leads allows you to prep in another room before testing.

The Quest Exercise Stress System has a versatile functionality in that it performs both resting 12-lead ECGs and exercise stress level tests in one system. This saves your nurse or technician space and time moving you from machine to machine to run your tests. Its all is done with one machine. In addition, the Quest Exercise Stress System interfaces with commonly used automatic blood pressure units and echo systems.

The Quest Exercise Stress System has a real time viewing system allows the technician or nurse to see, on screen instantly, what is being recorded during your tests. The Quest Exercise Stress System presents information in 3-, 4-, or 6- channel formats. The technician chooses the 'freeze frame' format for detailed viewing and printing of what the doctor will need for a complete diagnosis of your condition.

There are a few additional features of to the Quest Exercise Stress System that may help your doctor further when it comes to your stress test. The optional T-Wave Alternans Testing provides a reliable way to assess patients for Sudden Cardiac Death (SCD). It's a brief, non-invasive, diagnostic procedure that can be run on the Quest Exercise Stress System.

One important feature of the Quest Exercise Stress System is the Glasgow Royal Infirmary algorithm. The sensitivity and specificity of the Quest Exercise Stress System, using this algorithm, provides a silent second opinion of the electrocardiogram. Interpretation is determined on five clinically specific criteria: age, race, medications, gender, and clinical classifications. The choice of long or short text gives the right amount of information needed by the doctor to make a proper diagnosis.

TM55 Treadmill

The Frisco Urgent Care offers its patients stress tests using a new, state-of-the-art treadmill from Burdick Company, specifically the TM55 models.

Thousands of clinicians rely on the TM55 treadmill for the reliability and accuracy required for an exercise based stress test. Regardless of the patient's weight, the digitally-controlled AC-drive system provides the high torque required for accurate treadmill speed and grade.

Frisco Urgent Care chose the TM55 medical treadmill because it has fewer moving parts, which reduce wear and tear on the machine, and helps to prevent accidents for you. The treadmill has a controlled 'soft start' for your comfort. It has very quiet operation and is integrated with the Burdick Quest Cardiac Stress System. It has a rapid deceleration option, emergency stop option, and never requires calibration.

The treadmill's walking surfaces are specially treated with a friction-controlled polymer so lubricants or waxes are never necessary. Unlike other treadmills, the TM55 features front and back rollers that help to keep the 20 inch wide, non-slip belt centered at all times.

The 'soft start' feature allows the belt to start out smoothly and slowly increase in speed at 0.1 mph increments for your comfort and confidence. This will eliminate jerking motions and stumbling that can catch you off guard when you begin the stress test. This is particularly helpful if you are already a little nervous.

Your doctor can determine a number of things about your health using a treadmill and stress tests. Most notably, the condition of your cardiovascular system, as determined from your heart rate, blood pressure, and vital signs while working out or under stress. The treadmill can be adjusted to speeds that will induce a steady, controlled cardiovascular work out where you will be breathing harder than a normal walking rate. That's where the testing process begins. The TM55 also come with a grade adjustment to simulate moving up a hill, which will increase your heart rate, and the Quest Cardiac Stress System will help the doctor to evaluate your heart condition.
