Obiora Ekweani, MD received his medical degree from the College of Medicine of the University of Lagos Nigeria. He subsequently completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University at Harlem Hospital in New York City. Dr. Ekweani is board-certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and in Emergency Medicine by the American Association of Physician Specialists. He has been practicing medicine for over twenty years.

Dr. Ekweani is affiliated with Centennial Medical Center of Frisco, Medical Center of Plano, Presbyterian Hospital of Plano and is a member of American College of Physicians and American Association of Physician Specialists. He is also a member of the Texas Medical Association and the Collin/Fannin County Medical Society.
